Frosty Mornings

Air Quality Report (As of 12:00AM)
All reporting stations are good.

Skies clear out overnight in the wake of our first wet storm system of the season. This will likely lead to a frosty morning for many! See the Frost Advisory below…

We probably won’t see much of a temperature recovery through mid-week as northwest flow continues to push cool air into the region. Nights will be cold and days cool, with a slow warming trend by the end of the week. A weak weather system will pass by mid-week and could bring a few sprinkles, but otherwise expect mostly clear skies into the weekend.

Overnight:
Clear and cold with lows in the 20s-30s inland where frost is LIKELY and 30s-40s on the coast where frost may be possible in low, sheltered areas.

**Frost Advisory**
From the National Weather Service in Monterey...
... for the lower valleys of San benito County including the Hollister/San Juan/Aromas areas
... in Monterey County, the Salinas Valley, Carmel Valley, 68 Corridor, Arroyo Seco, and San Antonio Valleys
... in effect from 3AM until 9AM Monday.

Temperatures as low as 29 will result in frost formation.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a few high clouds passing through. Cool, with highs in the 50s to low 60s. Breezy for inland valleys in the afternoon.

Tuesday: Cold and frosty in the morning, especially for inland valleys. Then becoming mostly sunny and slightly warmer in the afternoon with highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s. Low clouds return to the coast late.

Extended: A weak system moves past late Tuesday into Wednesday and may produce a few sprinkles near the coast. High temperatures remain cool for this time of year throughout the week. Lows will slowly warm up with increased clouds Wednesday/Thursday mornings. Another weak system will be here late Friday into Saturday which could bring some light rain to the region.
