Warmer Friday

A passing ridge of high pressure will bring a sunny, warm, and dry day to the region on Friday. It will move through quickly, however, with a series of systems moving through shortly thereafter. The first will bring an increase in clouds and perhaps some very light preicp around the bay on Saturday. The second system will have more widespread rain late in the day Sunday and perhaps into early Monday, then a third arrives sometime around Tuesday. At this point, only beneficial rains are expected.

AIR QUALITY: Good

Overnight: Mostly clear with patchy fog possible in valley bottoms. Lows in the low to mid 40s on the coast and mid 30s to low 40s inland.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a few cumulus over the hills and some low clouds possible on the coast late. Warmer, with widespread 60s. Breezy northwesterly winds near the river mouths and in the valleys in the afternoon.

Saturday: Increased clouds with a chance of light rain/drizzle, mainly around the bay and in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Rain amounts (if any) will be very light. Cooler, with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

Extended:
The next system arrives late Sunday into early Monday with light to moderate rain chances, with another, perhaps similar system on Tuesday. High pressure will likely build in after mid-week next week with a streak of warmer, dryer weather expected.
