Showers Over The Hills But Otherwise Nice

An area of low pressure continues to swirl off to our south and will influence our weather on Easter Sunday. Rain chances will decrease, but showers and perhaps a thunderstorm are expected over the inland mountains over the course of the afternoon. A few showers may over coastal cities, but most areas will stay dry. Subtropical high pressure moves in for next week with temps jumping 10-15 degrees warmer by Tuesday. A weak cold front by late week will bring temps back down and rain chances.

AIR QUALITY: Good

Easter Sunday: Partly cloudy with showers and an isolated thunderstorms possible over the inland mountains. A few showers may stray close to the coast. Slightly cool for this time of year with highs in the low to mid 60s. Breezy northwesterly onshore winds at times.

Monday: Sunny skies and temps rising with mid to upper 60's coastal and upper 60's to low 70s inland in most locations.

Extended: Conditions clear rapidly on Monday as high pressure builds in from the west. Temps jump back to normal Monday and then well above for Tuesday. A weak cold front potentially arriving mid to late next week, bringing temps back down and rain chances.
