SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) A Santa Cruz County man is facing two burglary charges after he was accused of stealing from homes he was working on.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office said 27-year-old Erik De Santiago stole from two homes he was hired to work on.

The first time, investigators said he was hired by residents to do work outdoors, but when the family left, he went inside through a back window and stole items.

The second time, investigators said he was hired by a construction company to help remodel a bathroom and kitchen. Two days later, they said he went back and stole jewelry from the home.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for any other potential victims. Anyone who hired De Santiago and had items stolen is asked to call Det. Jacob Pruger at 831-454-7096.
