(KION) Families are finding creative ways to stay entertained while quarantined.

Central Coast residents are taking part in the global trend, putting teddy bears in yards and windows. It’s called ‘going on a bear hunt’. Salinas residents the Temples say, “It’s exciting for something to do.”

Flora says it’s been hard to keep her daughter entertained over the past few weeks of quarantine. This trend has been spicing things up. Perhaps Flora has her mom to thank for that, who was one of the first in Salinas to catch wind of the trend. “I decided to share this on the Nextdoor app and the enthusiasm has been incredible.”

Temple says this used to be a sleepy neighborhood, but this teddy bear boom has gotten everybody out walking around. During this time of social distancing, people are encouraged to walk around their subdivisions and get that fresh air. But while you’re out over these next few days… watch out for the teddies.
