Chilly tonight, sunny on Tuesday

High pressure will continue to keep us in a sunny, dry and warm weather pattern on Tuesday.

The offshore flow that raised temperatures on Sunday and Monday will shift to a more onshore pattern by Wednesday, when temperatures will begin to cool and occasional fog/low clouds will return to the forecast. Weaker weather systems may bring additional wind and shots of cool dry air Friday and Sunday.

Monday night: Clear and cool with lows in the 30s to around 40ºF for most inland cities and upper 30s to mid 40s on the coast.

Tuesday: Sunny and mild once again with widespread 60s for highs.

Extended: Patchy fog returns to the coast on Wednesday, along with cooler temperatures. Highs will be seasonable to slightly cool into the weekend.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for February 17th – 23rd calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
