Slightly Warmer Temps a Real Treat this Halloweekend

High pressure slowly strengthens over the West Coast into the weekend yielding a slow warm-up for most areas. We’ll hit a bit of a speed bump on Friday as surface winds may push some low clouds and cooler air into the coast. However, a general warm-up will then continue through Halloween. Temperatures will begin to cool starting Tuesday as a trough digs in from the north. Rain is starting to look more likely mid-week next week.

AIR QUALITY: GOOD

Saturday: Mostly sunny with passing high clouds and a low cloud or two on the coast. A few degrees warmer, with mostly 60s for coastal highs, and 70s inland.

Overnight: Mostly clear with a few low clouds/fog possible on the coast. Expect lows in the 40s on the coast and 30s-40s inland.

Sunday: Other than a few linger low clouds around the coast, expect another afternoon with mostly clear skies and even slightly warmer temps. Mostly 60s and few 70s at the coast, 70s inland with a possible 80 in southern Monterey County.

Extended: Cooler into mid-week. A chance of rain Tuesday through Thursday, though don't expect anything widespread. Any rain will remain light and scattered. The upper-level trough associated with this system will keep temperatures below average.
