Staying Pleasant
Quiet weather is expected through the weekend with cool mornings and mild afternoons. The most exciting thing is a cut-off low to our southwest that will pump some mid to upper level moisture our way through Sunday. Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy and a few sprinkles can’t be ruled out—especially in the higher terrain.
AIR QUALITY:Â Good to Moderate
**FROST ADVISORY**
… for the southern valleys of Monterey County until 9AM Saturday for inland Monterey County.
*Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.
*Cold conditions will be hazardous to sensitive populations such as unhoused individuals. Cold Conditions can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
Â
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
Be sure to turn off sprinklers ahead of sub-freezing temperatures to avoid creating ice patches on driveways and sidewalks.
Be sure to cover or tend to sensitive plants and vegetation as they may be damaged by frost.
Overnight: Becoming mostly cloudy and not quite as cold with mid to upper 40s at coast and low to mid 30s in some inland locations with frost still possible.
Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered mid to high level clouds. A few sprinkles possible, but otherwise dry. Mild, with highs mainly in the 60s to around 70ÂşF.
Extended: High clouds stick around for Sunday then decrease into next week. Weak high pressure and a blocked pattern will lead to cool mornings and warm afternoons. Dry conditions are also expected. Temps will continue to warm for next week.
