Marina Police arrest woman from Selma on multiple charges

Marina Police Department

MARINA, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Police in Marina arrested a woman from Selma on multiple charges after a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

At around 3 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Reservation Road and Imjin Parkway on a farm style tank truck for several vehicle violations. During the traffic stop, officers learned that 33-year-old Jessica Lindsey Diaz of Selma was unlicensed and had an outstanding felony warrant in San Joaquin County for vehicle theft. Officials say Diaz was also under the influence of drugs when she was pulled over.

When running a check on the vehicle, it was learned that the truck was registered to an egg farm in Santa Cruz County. Officers reached out to the owner of the truck who informed them that he didn't know the truck was stolen. The owner of the truck completed a stolen vehicle report with Santa Cruz County CHP.

Diaz was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on several charges, including vehicle theft, DUI drugs, possessing drug paraphernalia, and being an unlicensed driver. She was also booked for the outstanding felony warrant.
