CHP: Train crashes into semi-truck near Highway 101 and Eckhardt Road south of Salinas
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION-TV) -- CHP-Monterey confirms a semi-truck was struck by a train along Highway 101 near Eckhardt Road south of Salinas.
The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Friday.
Fire agencies responding to the scene said no one on the train or in the semi was injured.
A photo from our crews at the scene shows the train is still upright on the tracks.
The CHP didn't have information immediately available about the impact to traffic at the time.
