MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV)- Marina Firefighters are on scene of a house fire on the 400 block of Gloria Circle in Marina. The fire started around 1:40 p.m. on Monday. Smoke could be seen coming out of the roof of the home.

At least six engines are on scene. Marina Fire Division Chief Carlos Vega said that they got called out to a garage fire that was spreading to the home.

Vega told our reporter at the scene that neighbors called in saying they were unsure if anyone was home.

When crews arrived, the garage was fully engulfed and that is when they started their fire attack.

Marina Fire said there were no reported injuries but there were at least three dogs that were at the house at the time of the fire.

Vega said that one dog escaped from the home and the other two were rescued by Firefighters.

Marina Fire said that the garage is damaged all the way through. Fire crews said they are pulling the ceiling to see how far the fire extended and determining how far the damage went.

The American Red Cross has been contacted and currently getting in touch with the home owners.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
