Chilly Weather, Wind, and Rain Chances for the Weekend

Air Quality Report (As of 8AM)
All reporting stations are good to moderate.

High pressure will slowly weaken over the next couple of days, but our mild fall weather will continue through Thursday. The pattern will then undergo a major shift with a deep trough of low pressure digging down the coast. Temperatures will plummet on Friday as a cold front packed with gusty winds and showers moves through the area. A secondary wet system will move through on Sunday with additional wet weather possible next week.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny with a few low clouds on the coast. Seasonable on the coast with highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s but warm inland with mid-70s to mid-80s. Breezy inland in the afternoon.

Overnight: A few low clouds and patchy fog possible. Expect coastal lows in the upper 40s with upper 30s to 40s inland and 50s in the hills.

Thursday: Patchy morning fog, then mostly sunny with a few low clouds on the coast. Seasonable on the coast with highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s but warm inland with mid-70s to mid-80s. Breezy for inland valleys inland in the afternoon.

Extended:
A cold front will bring much cooler air, gusty winds, and a chance of rain on Friday. Rain is likely to favor coastal areas and should be relatively light, but will result in wet roadways. There is also a slight chance of a thundershower with small hail. Saturday will be chilly, breezy, and partly cloudy—expect highs only to reach into the 50s. Another weather system will bring additional light rain chances on Sunday. Temperatures will remain chilly into early next week.
