Warming Up into the Weekend
Temperatures will slowly warm through Presidents Day Weekend, with sunny conditions as a ridge of high-pressure nudges into the Central Coast. Then a change, a system mid-week next week may bring rain and cooler temperatures.
AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate
Saturday: A nice weekend in store for the Central Coast. Highs will be in the 60s on the coast, mid to upper 60s inland. Mostly sunny skies, with light winds.
Overnight: Mostly clear with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s near the coast, mainly 30s inland with valley locations dipping into the upper 20s.
Extended: After a nice Presidents Day Weekend, rain, wind, and cold temperatures return by mid-week next week. We will continue to keep you updated on what to expect as we get closer to those dates. For now, enjoy the spring-like weekend.

- Forecast: Weak La Niña continues through winter, becomes neutral by Spring
-Area drought status: Moderate Drought (D1) for San Benito County, southeastern Monterey County, and northern Santa Cruz County. Abnormally Dry (D0) for the remainder of those counties. Moderate Drought (D1) for the KION coverage area in Santa Clara County.
