Offshore flow will continue for the next few days, with warm, dry weather expected. Dry air will also mean chilly lows, however. Fire danger will remain elevated despite winds dying down. Flow will switch back onshore mid-week with some low clouds/fog possible at the coast and cooling through the end of the week. Halloween weekend is currently looking rather pleasant.
Overnight: Clear and dry. Cool, with coastal lows in the 40s, 30s to low 40s inland, and 50s up in the hills.
Wednesday: Sunny and warm with coastal highs in the upper 60s to 70s and 70s to low 80s inland. Briefly breezy for the inland valleys in the afternoon.
Thursday: After another chilly morning, expect a sunny and warm afternoon with coastal highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s while inland areas will remain in the 70s to low 80s. Some fog possible on the coast late.
Extended: Coastal temperatures cool further on Friday with a few low clouds returning. Inland areas will remain warm through the holiday weekend with highs above normal. Coastal temps will head back upward through the weekend, peaking above normal Sunday/Monday. A weather system will pass by during that period but we will likely remain dry.

-Area drought status: Moderate drought for much of Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties, Abnormally dry on the east shore of the bay into San Benito County. No drought classification for much of Monterey County outside of the Gabilan Range.
