Dry Until The Weekend
One more day of dry weather as high pressure to our south remains in control. Despite the mostly sunny skies, it will be a bit cooler with continued blustery conditions. Then, a big change in the weather arrives this weekend as back-to-back storm systems take aim. The first will be here on Saturday and will bring some light rain to the region. A more widespread longer duration rain event will arrive on Sunday, followed by showers/thunderstorms on Monday and lingering showers Tuesday, perhaps into Wednesday. Highs will stay pretty cool for this time of year!
Overnight: Clear skies with breezy conditions
over the hills and on the exposed coast. Chilly, with lows in the upper 30s to
low 40s on the coast and mainly 30s inland.
Friday: Mostly sunny with increasing high
clouds late. Slightly cooler again with highs in the upper 50s to upper 60s.
Gusty winds in the afternoon.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with light
rain arriving in the afternoon—better rain chances on the coast and in the
north. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Breezy at times.
Extended: Sunday will feature a more widespread rain event with
periodic light to moderate rainfall. Temperatures will continue to cool down
with highs in the 50s into early next week. We’ll see scattered showers and
thunderstorms with small hail on Monday and lingering showers on Tuesday
perhaps into Wednesday. Some warming later in the week.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for April 10th –
16th calls for the likelihood
of near normal temperatures and near normal precipitation.
