Dry Sunday, Wet Monday
We’ll get another dry albeit slightly cooler day on Sunday before the next chance of rain arrives. A weak trough will pass to our north into Sunday which will cool us down a bit and also bring a few extra clouds. However, a stronger cold front will push into the region on Monday brining light to moderate rain and occasionally gusty winds.
AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate
Overnight: Passing high clouds and a chance for a few low clouds/fog along the coast. Expect lows in the low to upper 40s on the coast and low 30s to low 40s inland.
Sunday: Passing high clouds, otherwise sunny. Slightly cooler with coastal highs in the low 60s to around 70ºF and upper 60s to mid 70s inland. Breezy up valleys late in the day. Then, low clouds increasing late.
Monday – Veterans Day: Mostly cloudy early with patchy coastal drizzle bordering on light rain in some areas. Then, briefly partly cloudy before a cold front brings light to moderate rain and occasionally gusty winds through the Monterey Bay area during the afternoon. Then, chance of showers inland with partial clearing around the bay late. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Gusty northwesterly winds at times.
Extended: Temperatures will stay cool through the end of the week, though mostly dry conditions can be expected Tuesday and most of Wednesday. The pattern will remain unsettled, however, with the next system bringing rain chance late Wednesday into Thursday and potentially Friday & Saturday as well with an unstable air mass in place. Nothing heavy is on the horizon, but it will definitely be unsettled!
