Dry & Cool For Now

Expect another cool and dry day on Wednesday before the next weather system arrives. It will come in the form of a wet cold front early on Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts will be light as the front passes through and should come to an end by sunrise for most areas with perhaps a few lingering light showers in the south. Dry conditions can then be expected for the rest of the day—obviously good news for those who don’t want to get their costumes wet!

AIR QUALITY: Good to Moderate

Overnight: Mostly clear with a few high clouds passing through. Patchy fog possible in sheltered areas. Lows in the low to mid-40s on the coast and 30s to low 40s inland.

Wednesday: Scattered high clouds throughout the day, then decreasing late. Low clouds then develop along the coast late. Cool, with highs in the upper 50s to mid-60s on the coast and 60s to low 70s inland. Windy up valleys late in the day.

Thursday: Light rain overnight into Thursday morning with dry conditions for most areas after sunrise and throughout the rest of the day. Morning rainfall amounts will be light but wet roads are possible. Becoming partly cloudy. Cool & breezy with highs in the 60s for most areas.

Extended:
Friday’s weather will be cool, breezy, and dry while the next storm system takes shape to our north. Latest trends bring it through our area on Saturday, but it could come as early as late Friday night. This system should be more of a rain-maker, but heavy rain is still not expected. High pressure tries to nudge in from the west Sunday into early next week which should warm us up—if it wins out.
