An End To The Stormy Pattern?
Showers will taper off to some extent but remain possible through the overnight and into Thursday. A cold, blustery air mass will continue to push in on Thursday before slowly moderating into Friday. Snow levels could get down to around 3,000ft overnight with fog possible in the valleys. High pressure will build in for the weekend, sending temperatures back to normal. Dry conditions will take over on Friday and last through at least next Wednesday—possibly longer.
AIR QUALITY: Good
Tonight: Partly cloudy with scattered showers becoming more isolated by dawn. Snow levels as low as 3,000ft. Patchy fog. Lows in the 40s for most areas, 30s to around 40ºF for inland valleys. Gusty northwest winds at times, slowly dying off.
**FROST ADVISORY**
…. For Southern Valleys and interior mountains of Monterey County, and mountains of San Benito from 10pm Wednesday to 9am Thursday.
*Temperatures as low as 33 will result in frost formation.
* Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.
*Remember to protect people, pets, and plants from the cold. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with scattered showers (snow levels 3,500ft). Cool and breezy with highs in the 50s.
Friday: Patchy fog in the morning, then mostly sunny to partly cloudy and slightly warmer with highs in the upper 50s to around 60ºF.
Extended: We’ll be dry and seasonable through the weekend and into early next week with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. One model is showing a weak system moving by on Sunday, so we’ll keep an eye on it. The pattern looks to remain dry until if shifts back to stormy somewhere around February 18th.
