Planning Commission to discuss proposal for South Salinas cannabis dispensary

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- A vacant building on South Main Street could look a lot different.

Salinas City Councilman Steve McShane announced on social media that they are looking for community feedback for a cannabis dispensary that will be located in South Salinas.

McShane said the city's Planning Commission will be discussing the proposal during their meeting on April 3 at 4 p.m.

Grant Palmer who is the CEO of CannaCruz told KION that they are looking to move into a bigger location.

CannaCruz is currently located on 1156 Abbott Street in Salinas. Palmer said they are potentially eying the old Legacy Furniture store across the street from the Star Market Shopping Center for their new location.

McShane shared that people and businesses who live within 300 feet of the location would be notified.
