Alisal Union School District offering free spring intersession classes for district students

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Spring Break is just around the corner for many elementary school students across the Central Coast.

The Alisal Union School District will be offering free spring intersession classes for any students looking to still learn during the break.

There will be two locations where the spring intersession classes will be held at two different schools.

Students who are enrolled at Fremont, Sanchez, Virginia Rocca Barton, Steinbeck and Creekside Elementary Schools will be going to classes at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy School.

Students who are enrolled at Dr. Oscar F. Loya Elementary School, Bardin Elementary, Alisal Community, Cesar E. Chavez Elementary and Frank Paul Elementary School will take place at Monte Bella Elementary School.

The program will run from March 25 to 29 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be free for all district students.

Some of the classes will include robotics, art, P.E. and NASA among other topics.

District officials said that transportation will be available from the home school to the host school. There will be meal service for students.

Students will be able to attend the full day or part of the day as needed.
