Man and woman shot at in Salinas, police looking for three juveniles involved

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- Salinas Police said that they are looking for three juveniles who allegedly shot at two adults on Sunday night.

According to investigators, they received a report of a shooting that took place around 7 p.m. on the corner of Natividad Road and Arcadia Way.

When officers got to the scene, they located a man and woman in the parking lot near the Pizza Factory. Police said the man had two gunshot wounds in the shoulder and the calf.

Salinas Police said that three juveniles approached the pair in a Blue Acura and asked if they were gang members.

The juveniles shot at the pair multiple times and with two of those bullets hitting the man. Police learned the pair that were shot at had gang ties from Los Angeles.

The man was taken to Natividad Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries. He was later released from the hospital.

Police said the three juveniles left in a Blue Acura and officers did not get license plate information.

Salinas Police said they are gathering surveillance footage from local businesses that might have captured the shooting.
