CSUMB launches new hospitality scholars program

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV)- California State University, Monterey Bay are expanding their hospitality scholars program in partnership with Pebble Beach Company.

On Thursday, the university announced they have launched a Pebble Beach Scholars program which will help students who are in the sustainable hospitality management program.

The university said that program will provide students with up to $5,000 per year for tuition, books and other educational costs for up to four years.

University officials said that Pebble Beach Company will help out students with job placement once they graduate.

"CSUMB graduates already fill many important roles in the Company, and this program will build on our strong connection with CSUMB,” said David Stivers, CEO of Pebble Beach Company said in a statement.
