Highway 1 near Seaside reopens after non-injury shooting, CHP-Monterey investigating
SEASIDE, Calif. (KION-TV) -- The CHP is investigating reports of a non-injury shooting along Highway 1 near Seaside.
According to CHP-Monterey, the report came in around 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22 of a shooting on Highway 1 between Route 218 and Highway 68 in the Seaside area.
Investigators said the victim heard a loud pop and during the investigation, officers said they discovered damage to the vehicle specifically indicating a shooting had occurred.
A portion of the highway was shut down while the CHP investigated around 2 p.m. but has since reopened.
The CHP said no one was hurt in the shooting.
