Your Vote, Your Future: Kate Daniels elected to Monterey County Board of Supervisors District 5

Kate Daniels

SALINAS, Calif. (KION-TV)- A familiar face will be taking her place on the Monterey County Board of Supervisors.

Kate Daniels has won the District 5 seat replacing her former boss Mary Adams. Daniels defeated Monterey City Councilman Alan Haffa and businessman Bill Lipe with 59% of the vote.

Adams announced in May 2023 that she will not seek reelection.

Daniels was the chief of staff for Supervisor Adams and businessman Bill Lipe. Daniels is currently a Monterey County Planning Commissioner.

She will be sworn in later this year once Adams term ends in December 2024.
