Two apartment units hit by gunfire on Nash Road, police looking for multiple suspects involved

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV)- Multiple gunshots hit two apartments in Hollister on Saturday night, frightening a mother whose 18-year-old daughter was at the apartment when she says she heard 10 shots.

The mother who wanted to remain anonymous says a brick was thrown at her window, then came the gunshots.

"They saw arguing outside. And just as you walked in the door, that's when they started firing, and it's not just a one-shot." a neighbor who lives in the apartment complex. "It was ten bullet holes in the walls, right, right through the living area."

Officers said they responded to multiple reports of a shooting that took place on the 900 block of Nash Road around 11 p.m. on Saturday night. Hollister Police said say the shooting happened during a 16-year-old's birthday party.

Investigators said that multiple suspects fired several rounds from a handgun which hit two homes on the street.

"This is a very family-oriented place," said a neighbor. "All the years I've been here are just family, children, grandparents and now we don't know if we can come out in the dark, That's too scary."

According to the Hollister Police –two homes were hit and the suspects escaped from the area, possibly leaving in a car nearby.

No one inside the two apartment units was injured in the shooting.

Hollister Police said that the suspects left the area on foot and possibly left in a vehicle that was staged nearby.

Investigators said that is possible the suspects could be teenagers.
