Man arrested after allegedly being in possession of $1,000 in stolen property and burglary tools, police say

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV)- Marina Police arrested a man who allegedly had possession of stolen property and burglary tools on Friday afternoon.

Officers said they responded to a reported theft incident around 1 p.m. at the Dunes Shopping Center. Investigators said a male suspect was seen driving away in a black vehicle.

Investigators said that Cal State University Monterey Bay Police Officers were able to locate the vehicle nearby.

Police said that the driver who was identified as Sergio Gonzalez was found to have over $1,000 of stolen property and burglary tools in his possession.

Gonzalez was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on burglary and possession of burglary tools.
