Man arrested after leading Marina Police on chase ending in East Garrison area

MARINA, Calif. (KION-TV) -- A 41-year-old man is arrested after leading Marina Police on a chase through the city before being caught in the East Garrison area.

According to police, the suspect was driving recklessly on the 400 block of Reservation Road at around 10:20 p.m. on Thursday night.

Police attempted a traffic stop but the suspect drove off.

The suspect attempted to evade police by ditching the car and running in the East Garrison area.

Police were able to track him down with the help of a Seaside PD K9 and a Salinas Police Drone Unit.

Investigators said it was later discovered the suspect had tools used for burglary in his car along with drugs.

The suspect is facing multiple charges related to the chase and items found in his vehicle.
