Motorcyclist dead after colliding with a truck in Hollister

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV) A motorcyclist died in a crash with a truck on Tuesday evening in Hollister, according to California Highway Patrol.

At 5:38 p.m., Monterey Communication Center got a call about a crash on Fairview Road at Santa Ana Valley Road.

According to the CHP reporter, A 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was driving west on Santa Ana Valley Road when the driver stopped at a stop sign.

The motorcyclist going north on Fairview Road approached the same intersection on Santa Ana Valley Road while Silverado continued to go through the intersection when it crashed into a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist died on scene and CHP said they don't know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.

  1. The motorcycle did not have a stop sign, I have no doubt the traffic investigation will be able to figure out how fast the MC was travelling, but it ain’t looking good for the Truck driver, even if there was no drugs or alcohol involved.
