Bigfoot statue stolen from Felton museum found

FELTON, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 11/12/2020 8 a.m. A Bigfoot statue stolen from the Bigfoot museum in Felton has been found, according to Scotts Valley Police.

Officers said they responded to a suspicious figure in the roadway near Glen Canyon and Green Hills Road and found it. They said it has some damage, but will be returned to the museum.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding Bigfoot, but not the animal.

The Sheriff's Office said a Bigfoot statue was stolen from the Bigfoot Museum in Felton sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, and they are asking for help finding it.

The statue is about 4 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 200 pounds. A wooden bear statue pictured below was also reported stolen at around the same time.
