SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Four months after Sgt. Damon Gutzwiller was killed in the line of duty, pins memorializing him have arrived at the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said the pins are a way to honor Gutzwiller and carry him with them during every shift.

Gutzwiller was killed in a shooting ambush in Ben Lomond on June 6. The suspect is believed to be associated with the "boogaloo" group and is also accused of killing a federal officer in Oakland.
