Toro Park and Carmel Valley Library evacuation centers move

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) County officials said evacuation centers at Toro Park School and the Carmel Valley Library are closing.

In their place, an evacuation center is opening at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Highway 68. The center will be at the pavillion. Go to the left and up the hill when you enter the raceway.

The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

An evacuation shelter is set up at Carmel Middle School at 4380 Carmel Valley Road. The shelter will be open 24 hours, and it can provide meals and sleeping accommodations for up to 20 people. County officials said it can be expanded as needed.
