Fire near Old Stage Rd in Salinas fully contained

SALINAS, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 6/22/2020 6:15 p.m. Cal Fire reports that the Stage Fire near Old Stage Road is 100% contained at 51 acres.

UPDATE 6/22/2020 11:30 a.m. A fire near Old Stage Road northeast of Salinas is now 51 acres and 80% contained.

PREVIOUS STORY: Fire crews are battling a vegetation fire near Old Stage Rd and Williams Rd northeast of Salinas.

Cal Fire said the Stage Fire is 20 acres as of 5:45 p.m.

Monterey County Regional Fire said Old Stage Road is closed.
