CAL FIRE captain killed in hiking accident
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Fire Captain David Lutz died in a hiking accident at Pfeiffer Burns State Park Wednesday. He was 33 years old.
Lutz is survived by his wife Tisha, step-daughter Alyssa, daughter Bailey and son Caleb. Tisha is currently expecting the couple's third child together.
"He was brave and always willing to tackle any task or danger, large or small. He was eager to help others, mentor those around him, offer practical support, and was loyal and supportive to all in his life," said CAL FIRE in a written statement.
