Seaside Protest happening today

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION)

Organizers are calling everyone to join them as they take to Seaside City Hall to protest and demand change in law enforcement.

The protest is set to take place at 12 p.m. today.

Organizers said Seaside has the densest Black population and they wanted to start there.

Recently, law enforcement members joined demonstrations on the Central Coast in support of the cause, saying they hope to keep the peace.

Many protesters say they hope law enforcement will keep their word and follow through with helping them make a difference.

Tensions are still high between protesters and law enforcement as violent demonstrations happen all across the country.

This has not been the case on the Central Coast so far.

Organizers are asking people to maintain current health and safety guidelines such as wearing face masks.
