Teachers surprise staff with car parade in Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION)

It’s been more than a month since schools shut down.

On Wednesday morning, teachers at Del Mar Elementary School, of the Live Oak School District in Santa Cruz, decided that they wanted to show their love and appreciation for the Del Mar Office Staff.

They created a car parade, with music and homemade signs that they displayed, as they drove through the drive aisle.

Teachers say they are very appreciative of the efforts of the secretaries during the pandemic.

The secretaries have been calling Del Mar families in order to make sure that they have everything they need. They say if there is a need for housing, food, or technical assistance with Distance Learning, they are connecting them with all needed services!
