Watsonville man arrested after investigation into reports of drug dealing

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION) A Watsonville man is behind bars after a month's long investigation.

Police said 31-year-old Ruben Sanguino was arrested in connection to reports of drug dealing in a neighborhood they investigated.

Officers served a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Maple Avenue and said they found cocaine and marijuana for sale; five guns, including a handgun that was reported stolen, and thousands of dollars in cash.

Sanguino was arrested at the home and charged with possession of drugs for sale while being armed with a loaded handgun. He was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
