Driver facing several charges after four car crash in Pacific Grove

PACIFIC GROVE, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 2/20/2020 4:00 p.m. Pacific Grove police said the driver of a Chevy Corvette involved in a four car crash is being charged with reckless driving, unsafe speed, unsafe passing and driving on the wrong side of the road.

The crash happened Feb. 6 in the 200 block of Ocean View Boulevard. A witness told police the Corvette was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic before the crash.

The driver and passenger in the Corvette had to be extricated because of the damage to the car. The passenger was treated at the scene, but the driver was transported for more medical assessment.

The people in the other vehicles said they had minor pain, but were not seriously injured

PREVIOUS STORY: Police in Pacific Grove responded to a major four car crash Thursday evening, and a witness told them it may be because of a speeding driver.

The witness told police that a Chevy Corvette was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. The driver then allegedly lost control and hit the other cars in the 200 block of Ocean View Boulevard.

Police responded to the crash at about 5:45 p.m.

The driver and passenger in the Corvette had to be extricated because of the damage to the car. The passenger was treated at the scene, but the driver was transported for more medical assessment.
