Tournament play kicks off at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (KION) The first round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am began Thursday morning. The unique tournament pairs professional golfers with celebrities golfing side-by-side in front of thousands of fans from the Central Coast and around the country.

The tournament is played on three different golf courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Monterey Peninsula CC and Spyglass Hill Golf Course. Most of the big name golfers and celebrities are playing Spyglass Hill, Thursday.

The celebrities from the entertainment world in field includes Bill Murray, Larry the Cable Guy, Ray Romano and Josh Duhamel. Sports stars like Aaron Rodgers, Eli and Peyton Manning, Steve Young and Wayne Gretzky will tee it up too. This year features a strong cast from the music world like Macklemore, Toby Keith, Jake Owen and Clay Walker.

Tonight at 5 and 6 p.m. on KION, Drew Andre will have a full recap of the first day of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
