Small Earthquakes hit west of San Juan Bautista early Tuesday

Earthquake hits the Morgan Hill area

San Juan Bautista, Calif. (KION) - A couple of small earthquakes struck San Benito county early Tuesday morning.

According to the USGS the first earthquake, a magnitude 2.9, was centered about two miles west of San Juan Bautista and was felt about 2:24 a.m.

The second quake, a magnitude, 3.1, was also centered about two miles west of San Juan Bautista and hit at 2:28 a.m.

This comes after two earthquakes, a 2.5 and a 2.6, were centered about two and a half miles west of San Juan Bautista yesterday just after 3:00 p.m.

No damage or injuries have been reported due to the earthquakes.
