San Francisco State main campus closed for bomb threat

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) San Francisco State University's main campus was closed and at least one residential building was evacuated after a bomb threat Thursday afternoon, according to the CBS affiliate in San Francisco.

University police said the threat is unconfirmed, and officers are working with San Francisco police.

Officials tell CBS SF that the threat targeted a few buildings on campus at around 2 p.m.

Residents at Centennial Village Building C were evacuated, but other residential buildings stayed open.

Police said the buildings evacuated include: humanities, library, Thornton Hall, Burk Hall, business, HSS, fine arts, SHC, Hensill Hall, creative arts, science, student union, ethnic studies and psychology and the gym.

Bomb experts with San Francisco police also responded to the campus.
