SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A man was arrested in Salinas on several charges after police said he was found with a stolen vehicle.

Officers were near California Street and Market Way when they said they saw a suspicious vehicle parked near the intersection Thursday at around 11:45 p.m. When they pulled up behind it, they found out it was stolen.

Police said they saw Brandon Gastelum grabbing items in the front driver's side, but when officers went up to him, he tried to run and jump a fence nearby.

Police were able to catch Gastelum. He had multiple warrants for his arrest, including a felony no-bail warrant, so he was arrested for the warrants and possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest charges.
