Two men arrested in Chinatown on suspicion of drug sales and conspiracy

Two men were arrested in Salinas’ Chinatown after police said they were found with drugs and cash.

Officers stopped a vehicle for having expired registration and other violations. They said the driver, 29-year-old Joshua Hoye, did not have a license and the passenger, 34-year-old Scott Reynolds, had a warrant out of Monterey County and was on probation.

Police searched the vehicle and said they found 10 oxycodone pills in a plastic bag, more than a half ounce of heroin and more than $2,000 in cash.

Both were arrested on suspicion of drug sales and conspiracy.
