Gun and drug arrest in Watsonville
Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Monday night on a variety of drug and weapon charges.
Deputies investigated a suspicious car near Rancho Rd. and Buena Vista outside Watsonville, and found Andrew Downs with a loaded handgun.
Deputies say Downs, who is on probation, was also in possession of heroin and under the influence.
