Watsonville woman arrested on felony hit-and-run charges

A Watsonville woman was arrested by the CHP in connection with a hit-and-run crash involving two pedestrians.

The CHP says on March 9, two pedestrians were hit at Pinto Lake County Park by the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu.

One pedestrian, 28-year-old Aptos woman, was pinned between the Malibu and a parked car. She had a severe leg injury as a result. The other pedestrian, a 12-year-old girl from Watsonville, also suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The CHP says the driver of the Malibu ran from the scene, and at the time of the crash, the CHP had not identified her. After an investigation, officers arrested 22-year-old Domitilia Fransisco Moreno on felony hit-and-run charges on Wednesday. They say she was also driving without a license. She was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
