Warrant issued for Watsonville burglary suspect caught on camera

The Watsonville Police Department is looking for a man they say broke into a home and stole thousands of dollars worth of items.

They say a judge has issued an arrest warrant for Antonio Acevedo, 39, who was allegedly seen on surveillance video breaking into a home on Holly Drive earlier this month.

In the video you can see the person putting on gloves, approaching a side door, and later leaving. WPD says during the break-in, Acevedo stole a television, a computer, iPads, car keys, and other items. They say that the victim’s car was gone the next day, but it was found and recovered three days later.

Acevedo is a transient living in Watsonville. He has been wanted by detectives for weeks, and was most recently seen by a deputy near Airport and Pajaro Lane last Thursday. WPD says that Acevedo is aware that law enforcement is looking for him.

If you see him, call 911 or 831-471-1151.
