Watsonville man arrested for having a stolen car and illegal gun

A Watsonville man was arrested by the CHP Thursday afternoon for vehicle theft and having an illegal gun.

Officers with the Auto Theft Task-Force served a search warrant at a house on Lilly Way outside Watsonville because they believed a stolen vehicle was at the property.

When officers arrived, they found the stolen vehicle and an illegally configured and unregistered assault rifle.

Jason Jessee, 49, was detained and arrested.
