Murder arrests made in Seaside cold case

UPDATE: 11/29/2018: 1:10 p.m. Three suspects are behind bars for the cold case murder of a man in Seaside.

28-year-old Andre Jacobs was stabbed to death while walking down Elm Avenue back in July of 2014.

“The subsequent investigation led investigators to believe there were multiple assailants involved in the homicide and that it was gang related however, Jacobs was not a gang member,” said Lt. Ethan Andrews.

Investigators with the Seaside Police Department, Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team, and the Peninsula Cold Case Project were able to identify and arrest 24-year-old Enrique Velazco of Seaside, 22-year-old Arcadio Perez of Seaside, and 19-year-old Samual Fabian Molina.

Velazco is currently in Monterey County Jail for an unrelated parole violation. He is being held without bail on murder charges.

Perez is in custody at the Monterey County Jail for his participation in a gang rap video depicting gang members in possession of firearms.

Molina was a Seaside resident at the time of the homicide and later moved to Oregon. Molina was booked into the Multnomah County Jail in Oregon pending extradition to California.
