Woman arrested after hit-and-run in Morgan Hill

A woman is behind bars after a hit-and-run in Morgan Hill.

Morgan Hill Police said 23-year-old Presley Jackson was driving in the area of Safeway on Tennant Avenue on Thursday, January 25th, when she hit someone in another car and took off.

The victim called 911 to report the accident while following Jackson. As she tried to avoid the man, she lost control and crashed into a fire hydrant.

Jackson and her boyfriend then got out of the car and took off running. Officers later found them walking in Community Park. According to police, Jackson told officers this wasn’t the first time she had borrowed a car from her aunt and crashed it.

The victim was treated for his injuries.

Jackson was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and misdemeanor hit-and-run for the fire hydrant.
