Two students at Santa Cruz High arrested for bringing BB guns to school

Two Santa Cruz High School students were taken into custody Thursday morning for bringing BB guns on campus.

According to Santa Cruz Police, the department received a tip before class began, and the two students were arrested during first period before the second bell rang.

A spokesperson with Santa Cruz Police said the school was not placed on lockdown. The guns were found in the students backpacks. No one was harmed during the incident.
