Victim identified in Seaside homicide

Police officers in Seaside are investigating a deadly shooting on the 1300 block of Sonoma Avenue.

The victim has been identified as Seaside resident 54-year-old Frederick James Pirtle. The motive for this homicide is still unclear.

According to officers they responded to shots fired Saturday just before 4:00 a.m. Pirtle was found dead on scene when they arrived.
